Multimedia PC

Multimedia PC (2007) Design & Construction: Peter Asaro

I built this multimedia computer for my mother in the Fall of 2007. It is designed to be the centerpeice of the home entertainment system for her Chicago condo. It has a TV tuner/DVR and various "multimedia," "digital home" and "home theater" components, most of which turned out to be redundant (too many useless remotes and redundant volume controls, and the motherboard, case and speaker system all accept an mp3 line-in!), but it was a good learning experience. Other components are a Samsung 21" widescreen LCD, Sony Cineza VPL-HS60 widescreen digital LCD projector for the second monitor, Logitech Z5500 5.1 DTS/THX surround sound system, Logitech Harmony 880 universal remote, Logitech diNovo Edge wireless keyboard (very nice), Logitech MX Air Mouse (works as traditional mouse or as a wand).
